ABOUT US
Structured Builders is owned and operated by high school friends Colin Walsh & Steven Langerak. Colin, an experienced Project Manager and qualified LBP Builder with over 20 years industry experience and Steven, a former recruitment business owner with a BCOM and double major in Accounting & Commercial Law saw an opportunity to join forces and unite their skills to create an exciting building company.
As a proud member of New Zealand Certified Builders Association (NZCB) you can rest assured your home is in safe hands. All our building projects have a dedicated Project Manager and a Site Foreman, many of whom have been with us for years. Our teams on the ground are made up of a Site Foreman, LBP Builders, Qualified Builders and BCITO Apprentices who all work hard to deliver a home that you and your family will cherish for a lifetime.
Born in Luton, England but now a fully fledged Kiwi, Colin is a Licensed Building Practitioner and NZCB Member with over 20 years experience in the construction industry. Colin began his building apprenticeship in the early 2000's working for a company that specialised in building architecturally designed homes. Having qualified as a BCITO Builder and working for a number of years building homes across Auckland, Colin's career took him to London where he gained extensive experience as a Project Manager.
Colins role was to oversee the management of large scale building projects running simultaneously. Having worked on a vast range of projects both in London and New Zealand Colin has a wealth of building experience and a keen eye for detail, he is always happy to put forward ideas and suggestions to help bring plans to life. Colin is focused on the delivery of our building projects and the managing of our teams.
Steven has a BCOM with a double major in Accounting and Commercial Law from the University of Auckland. Soon after the completion of his degree he found his way into Executive Recruitment & HR. After 4 years working with a large multinational recruitment business Steven had the opportunity to join a colleague and they started their own recruitment business. Over the next 12 years the company grew to be one of the largest white collar recruitment firms in New Zealand before Steven and the other shareholders sold the business to a private fund in 2019.
During this time Steven developed skills in finance, systems, HR, leadership and generally running a business through growth - all skills that he now brings to the Structured team. Steven is focused on ensuring our systems, both operational and financial, allow us to deliver amazing projects and client experiences.
